Barn Animal Program

Providing Shelter For Our Barnyard Friends

The Rescue Village Barn is a place of peace, safety, and compassion for all who enter. Our barn serves horses and farm animals brought in by our humane agent from situations of abuse, neglect or abandonment. It provides immediate shelter and rehabilitative support to these animals until they are adopted or suitable to be fostered offsite. With the support and generosity of staff, volunteers and the community that surrounds us, we have delivered a powerful message that resonates with so many people: all animals deserve our moral concern, even those who are seen as commodities within our economy and food industry.

Rescue Village has a proud history of being a leading animal welfare agency in Northeast Ohio and is home to the only barn program run by a humane society in our region.

Our barn program has grown in the past several years, most recently with a major gift of support that will allow us to expand our services and fund a full-time Barn Manager at Rescue Village. We are so grateful to The Billie Howland Steffee Fund of The Cleveland Foundation whose generosity and passion for our barn program has made a lasting impact. It is truly the support of our generous donors that will sustain our work for many more years to come.
