This holiday season, give the gift of a forever home to a pet in need. Embrace will be covering all adoption fees at Rescue Village in Novelty, Ohio, until grant funding lasts.
The best part of this season is giving – and one local organization is about to give back in a major way. Cleveland-based Embrace Pet Insurance, a consistently top-rated pet health insurance provider for dogs and cats in the United States, is pledging $30,000 to local animal non-profits this holiday season to improve their welfare during what should be one of the merriest times of the year.
The donations will go to two deserving charities – Rescue Village and PetFix Northeast Ohio – as part of Embrace’s overall corporate commitment to supporting organizations that encourage animal adoptions and address overpopulation issues.
“Giving back to our community is core to who we are at Embrace, especially at a time of year when finances can be stressful for many,” says Embrace Pet Insurance President, Brian Macias. “We don’t want cost to prohibit any family from adopting a new furry friend during the holidays, or for pet parents to hold off on necessary procedures for their dog or cat because there are too many other items on their budget list. Through this local campaign, we are partnering with two charities that can ease these burdens for families, creating a happier holiday season for pets and their loved ones.”
Rescue Village x Embrace – “Embrace the Love” Holiday Adoption Campaign
As part of its holiday campaign, Embrace will donate $20,000 to Rescue Village, a nonprofit in Geauga County that gives shelter, provides medical care and finds homes for abused and homeless domestic animals. Embrace’s gift will fund all adoption fees for cats and dogs at the shelter until the full donation is utilized, which makes taking a pet home easier for potential pet parents and allows Rescue Village to save the lives of even more animals in the community. The donation also includes covering a portion of essential medical care for animals at Rescue Village before they are adopted, ensuring they are healthy and ready for their new homes.
“Every year, Rescue Village takes in more than 2,000 animals and provides complete veterinary care to each animal, including spay and neuter surgeries,” says Executive Director of Rescue Village, Kenneth Clarke. “With so many homeless animals in need, this partnership with Embrace Pet Insurance encourages people to adopt, and it helps cover some of the humane society’s veterinary costs, preparing these pets for success in their new adoptive home.”
Embrace and The Cleveland Browns will participate in a volunteer day at Rescue Village on Dec. 19. Several Browns employees will lend a helping hand to inspire others to do the same this holiday season.
PetFix Northeast Ohio x Embrace – “Deck the Paws – Embrace’s Holiday Fix”
Embrace also is supporting PetFix Northeast Ohio, a non-profit organization in Cuyahoga County that provides high-quality, affordable spay and neuter surgeries to end pet homelessness and the need for unnecessary euthanasia. A $10,000 donation from Embrace will work to address and diminish the issue of animal overpopulation in Northeast Ohio while easing financial strain for pet parents through subsidized spay and neuter surgeries during the holiday season. During the month of December, Embrace will sponsor at least 500 reduced cost spay/neuter surgeries by allowing PetFix to provide a $20 discount on these essential procedures, with the program running until the full donation amount is utilized.
PetFix Northeast Ohio Executive Director, Christie Lucco, emphasizes the importance of easing the financial strain of costly vet bills.
“PetFix believes that the key to proactively preventing pet homelessness is to spay and neuter pets. We want to make sure that it’s affordable for everyone. The generous sponsorship from Embrace is such a wonderful gift to pet owners who want to responsibly care for their pets but may find their finances a bit tight during the holiday season,” says Lucco.
