A bit of good news at Rescue Village:

Rescue Village is the only grant recipient of $15,000 in Ohio for the 2023 Pedigree Foundation’s international (U.S. & Canada) grant program to grow the volunteer foster program.

The foster program is important to our animals in helping reduce shelter stress, provides an essential volunteer opportunity, and is essential to the medical staff’s work, helping mitigate disease transmission, evaluating behavior, and allowing for medical treatment over time (heartworm, pregnancy, etc.) in the time between intake and PUA (put up for adoption).
