Paw Parade

Rescue Village was invited to Chardon Healthcare Center yesterday to visit with the residents. To make it a safe visit during COVID, they requested a Paw Parade so that residents who weren’t able to come outside could see the dogs from their windows as the parade wrapped around the entire building. Community Guardian Program

The Community Guardian Program is a safety net program offered to pet owners in Geauga County as an alternative to giving up a pet when life’s obstacles leave pet owners temporarily unable to care for their pets. Animals accepted into the program are placed into temporary foster homes with trained Rescue Village foster caregivers to provide, love, care, and support to the pet. On May 29, 2021, Rescue Village will host its first Spring Fling Slumber Party, a fundraiser to benefit the homeless animals at our shelter.
