About Charles

'Chuck' and his friends Thomas and William were living in Ashtabula County and their guardian had to leave her home on a ranch and was not be allowed to take the pigs with her to her new home. The ranch owner would have euthanized the pigs if she left them at his property, so Rescue Village stepped in to provide a safe place to go and facilitate finding new homes for the boys. Originally he was found as a stray with William and was placed at the ranch by the Ashtabula Humane Society. In our care Will was recently castrated and had his hooves and tusks trimmed as well as vaccines and deworming. Chuck doesn't have to go home with both of his friends however, he is fond of having a companion so another pig already at the home or at least a second pig going home with him is suggested. He would do best living in a barn setting and is very friendly. Barn animal showings are by appointment only, so if you are interested in meeting Chuck or any other pig please email barn@rescuevillage.org and an adoption application can be downloaded here: http://docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/135e4b_8c5d01bc081c426c9951ffe741101c95.pdf **Most Sunday's we have open barn hours from 1-3pm, so visit our animals then!
