About Maple-In Foster

Check out the following excerpt from Maple's foster home notes to see if she may be the cat you have been searching for!Maple is a very active independent girl who loves to play. She loves to play with her little felt mouse and goes wild for a feather wand. She's not shy, but isn't a lap cat either, at least in my experience. In quieter moments she loves to sit on her perch and look out the window. When I first got her, she was friendly right away and didn't seem scared. Sometimes, when she's playing she may try to nip or scratch my hand, so I'm careful not to touch her if she's acting real frisky. It's not an intentional act on her part to do me harm; she just gets really involved in play and mistakes skin for toy. For this reason she would be best in a home with older kids who are aware of what could potentially happen while playing with her. No babies or toddlers please. She's a good eater and I've only given her dry food. I limit her food intake (and she's still a tad plump) and I think she would overeat if given unlimited food. She's moderately tidy with the litter box and has never gone outside the box. She certainly has it down when it comes to the entertainment factor. She entertains us and herself; the loss of one eye has not affected her at all in her ability to spot her "prey". *If you are interested in Maple, we are now doing virtual adoptions!
