1984: Betty Nenadal is sworn in as the first Humane Officer for Geauga County
Rescue Village employs Humane officers to Geauga County at no additional cost to taxpayers.
Since 1984, Rescue Village has increased the number of humane officers on staff to having a Chief Humane Officer and an additional four part-time humane officers.
