Rescue Village launched the only pet food pantry in Geauga County in 2020 to combat food insecurity for owned pets.
Rescue Village believes that tight financial times should not break the bonds of love and companionship between people and their companion animals. The community pet food pantry is to assist families who have fallen on hard times and are struggling to provide food for their pet.
Cat and dog food will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to anyone who expresses a need.
This pantry is donation-driven and cannot guarantee inventory of food brands.
*Proof of eligibility is not required.
Please contact us by emailing intake@rescuevillage.org or calling 440-338-4819 ext. 1017 to find out if we have donated food prior to making your trip to the shelter and to make arrangements for pick-up.
This program is intended to TEMPORARILY supplement your monthly supply of pet food, not be the permanent sole source of food for your pets. We want to be able to help as many pets and their families as possible.
NOTE: Please do not bring your pets to Rescue Village. Items received through this program cannot be sold. This program is not meant to feed stray animals or feral cats. If you are a feral colony caretaker, please learn more about our TNR (Trap, Spay/Neuter, Return) Program.
