WHAT IS HUMANE EDUCATION?

Rescue Village offers events and programs, services, community representation, and group tours and service to provide information, support, and create an educated community on the importance of humane treatment in Geauga County and beyond. Rescue Village extends into communities across Northeast Ohio through community involvement. Similarly, students 12 and under and 12 and up can complete service projects through Rescue Village for school, service hours, or simply for their love of animals!

Both adults and children who learn to extend kindness and care to animals are more likely to treat people with respect. Teaching the public about the realities of the work of a humane society – both its challenges and triumphs – is its own reward. Like a hospital, or a police department, the need for Rescue Village’s work will exist as long as people own pets in Northeast Ohio.
