In 2024, Rescue Village and its community of supporters helped over 3,000 animals in need of shelter, medical services and adoption. I am sincerely thankful for all your ongoing support that allows Rescue Village to provide so many humane solutions for homeless animals and their people.
The donations Rescue Village received last year were very generous. Because of our donors, Rescue Village won the EmbraceCLE Challenge in October, which generated another $15,000 from Embrace Pet Insurance, as our reward for winning. The 2024 Giving Tuesday Matching Gift Campaign and the End of Year Matching campaign were both successful and both provided much needed general support as well as specialized surgical care for animals like Alvin and Delilah. Indeed, you, our donors, responded to all our campaigns big-heartedly, like when everyone came together to support Corby’s heart surgery.
Our donors also helped Rescue Village with important upgrades, such as a major gift that supported the upgrade of Rescue Village’s dog-walking trails, with the goal of increasing the time dogs spend outside the kennels.
Rescue Village has continued to thrive and grow over the past 50 years because of our community, and because of Rescue Village’s commitment to excellence in animal care, veterinary care and customer service.
From our humble beginnings as an all-volunteer foster based organization in 1974 to an organization with a well-equipped facility, professional staff, a robust volunteer corps, and 47 rescue organization partners, we are working every day to make sure that our service-oriented growth continues for the next 50 years.
Many animals come to Rescue Village with sad beginnings or from tough situations, but because of your support these animals find new homes and their stories change from unhappy to heartwarming and life changing. Through the decades, our supporters have constantly and consistently been there for Rescue Village and its animals, and we cannot thank you enough!
It’s because of your support, your donations, and engagement with our mission, that we can continue this critical, life-saving work, in Geauga County, and across the region toward so many successful rescue stories.
Rescue Village will stay rock-steady now and long into the future. We will continue to provide adoption, medical services and sheltering for homeless animals, along with humane education and community events like the award winning Woofstock and we greatly appreciate your friendship and support through it all!
