TNR FAQs
How does it work?
Who can participate in this program? TNR is for anyone who has identified an un-owned, outdoor, free-roaming cat that needs to be spayed or neutered. This program is not for owned cats or stray cats that are being kept as pets. You do not need to live in Geauga County to participate in the program.
What are the fees and what is included? The fee is $25 per cat. This includes the spay or neuter surgery, a 1-year Rabies vaccination, an FVRCP vaccination, and the left ear tip. Additionally, we offer an application of Revolution (flea & ear mite treatment) at an additional $5 per cat upon request. We also offer trap rentals if needed. To rent a trap there is a $75 security deposit per trap. The deposit is refunded fully once the trap is returned in good condition.
The first step is to complete and submit an application. Once that is received we will be in touch when we are able to get you added to a surgery day. This program is being offered twice a week — once on Tuesdays and the second day is available on a varying basis.
